The preceeding is an article by USA Today regarding simulator shortcomings that may have led to most of the major airline crashes involving passenger deaths since 2000.

Idk how the sim at my school gets approved every time. It's from the 80s. Comm and Nav display flickers and shuts off. Number two VOR is shit, left engine idles at 2000 rpm. And the only guy who knows how to get it running pretty is no longer with us. Sunofabitch!
Kind of scary to think about, like the article said...Airlines today all over the globe use simulators to train pilots before they actually fly. Concerns me a little bit because I have heard it is harder to learn in a simulator then it is to actually fly the real aircraft.

According to the article, I'm thinking I was told wrong.
Poor basterds must have been training on FSX.
