Talk about pucker factor!... The TAC and co probably passed-out after that adrenaline rush. ...shortly before the airframes guys crapped their collective pants.
Needless to say the Navigator was killed almost instantly. The captain flew her to the drop point and still got her home on the ground safely. This picture ALONE, symbolizes the term 'Flying Fortress' for me.

That's fucking unbelievable, literally. How the HELL. I wonder what he lost for avionics, the instrumens must have been damaged. Looks like the co-pilot position was destroyed. It's a miracle that debris didn't destroy half or all of his engines. Crazy. I'd be shitting my pants if I hit a small bird.......
