Welcome to the first XBox 360 IL-2 BoP Competition. Signing up is easy, just download the attached form and then email to xbox360diy@gmail.com. It will be a hair raising roller coaster ride, with twists, turns, lows and highs. But at the end, there can only be one winner.

A little bit about how the tournament will work:

Stage 1 - Qualify. You will have to play one game, and win it in order to compete. There will only be 16 qualifiers (32 entrants)
(6TH JAN - 13TH JAN)

Stage 2 - Once you have qualified, and the first stage has ended, you will play in the first round. Your competitor will be chosen at random, to ensure fair play.
(15TH JAN - 22ND JAN)

Stage 3 - If you win the first round, you will go into the Quarter finals, at which you will play the winner of one of the other round one matches.
(24TH JAN - 1ST FEB)

Stage 4 - Winning a quarter final puts you into the semi's! You will play the winner from another quarter final match in this round.
(3RD FEB - 10TH FEB)

Stage 5 - You've made it to the final! All eyes are on you to win against the other semi final winner! I will be flying around during this round to capture the battle (not shooting) for everyone on the forum to watch!

RULES MUST READ THESE!

General:

Matches will be played on either sim or realistic. A player will gain 3 points for a win on realistic, whereas he will get 4 for a win on sim, however this has to be decided by BOTH players

MATCHES WILL BE STRAIGHT UP DOGFIGHTS THAT WILL LAST FOR 20 MINUTES.

BOTH players from each match MUST report back the score as a PM to me on this forum.

LAG is unacceptable. If this is noticeable on a players aircraft, they will automatically forfeit, and the competitor will win 3-0.

If LAG is consistent (game after game) the player will be disqualified.

You must leave your gamer-tag on this forum, it is upto YOU and your competitor to organize a time to play.

You don't have to have a mic to play, however text communication is vital.

If your opponent crashes then you automatically gain a point.

Ramming or kamikizing into your opponent is acceptable.

You must check back on this thread regularly for news and schedules.

I will decide on the area, wether and time of the match.

Limited Fuel and Ammo. If you manage to land successfully at one of the airstrips or on the ground, you MAY bail out (thus reloading your ammo), and this will NOT count as a kill, YOU must inform the other player of this.

Playing your match within the time slot is essential, so please do.

I know this rule list isn't perfect, so I'd appreciate it if some of the more respected players could give me some suggestions.

I've reposted this from the IL-2 forums. The original post can be found here, and should be checked regularly for updates. Even though the rules are a little funky, I'd like to see you guys support this as much as you can. He has said he is open for suggestions. If we can help him make this go somewhat smoothly, it should pave the way for other IL-2 tourneys.

So far Chaos is the only S&S member that has signed up. Let's get a few more in there.

Hanzup, if you don't have this game why are you talking in this thread? Your not contributing and that makes you look bad. I would like to Sign up but is it Sim only or do you to agree to use a certain game type? I won't embarrass myself in Sim mode publicly.
