So that's what that launcher looks like. My next door neighbor got a medal using one of those in Iraq 2 years ago. Convoy came under attack (hauling petrol). They were in a town, and the insurgents blocked them in with some big truck at one end and a few cars to the rear. Troops dismounted and took cover in the buildings and returned fire. But they weren't getting anywhere. So Keith ran for a HMMWV in the middle which had one of those launchers on it.
When inside he said he looked at the thing and wondered how in the hell to fire it. Figured it out under fire and started launching them into every window he could find. He said he didn't know where the fire was coming from, but figured he'd hit them all just to be safe!
It worked - and all the troops made it out with only 3 wounded.
