We in the Sins & Saints are looking for a few select, good people to join us.
As an interested person we encourage and welcome YOU! to the Sins & Saints website. Feel free to look around and reach out to our members if you have any questions.
RECRUITING goes (loosely) as follows:
A) Know what you want out of a gaming group. What are your strengths (and weaknesses), what do you have to offer, and how can the group you align yourself with help you to achieve your goals...both as a gamer and as a person.
B) Do a little bit of research. Look through the Sins & Saints "Welcome" topics. What makes us unique as a Squadron. What are our guiding principles and is that something you believe in. There are hundred of Squadrons (and clans) in videogames. The Sins & Saints is unique in both it's approach and it's history. Are the tenets of HONOR, INTEGRITY, and RESPECT things which you hold important? Understand what you want to put into a group and what you want/expect to get out of it.
C) Approach any of our members (if we haven't approached you first). Let them know who you are and that you're interested (and why).
D) Upon contact with a potential recruit - we in the Sins & Saints will be looking for many things....among those things are:
1) Your willingness and ability to participate <<no reason to even consider joining if you're only going to show your face once every three months>>
2) How you conduct yourself both in-game and beyond. <<everyone has their own sense of humor, but how you conduct yourself IS important. We're not predicated on "Sir, Yes Sir!"....but we do expect you treat your squad-mates like teammates. This is not "Gossip Girl" and we're not in junior high. We pride ourselves in being professional so that we EARN the respect and admiration of our peers. >>
3) Have a healthy respect for our military. Understand that you may disagree with a particular president or state leader -- but the armed forces is part of what ensures our (and your) freedom. Our group has a several members who are (or were) active duty military...or people going that route. Respect them and the sometimes thankless job they do.
4) Contribute. Don't expect to magically be perfect, but never stop working to better yourself. Both in the game world and as a human being.
E) Once we get to know you, we will expect some active level of participation. You don't need to miss work or skip exams to play...but its a fundamental point that you be active. The Sins and Saints is a living entity...not just token lip-service. Your activity will determine how well the Sins and Saints succeed.
F) An oral interview (and/or interview via AIM or MSN instant messenger) with a senior member of S&S. What we are looking for here is someone who actually gets it. Someone who can appreciate that we are all shareholders in this Squadron. The Sins & Saints is the pinnacle of professionalism and excellence. What we want is someone we can take pride and honor in bringing into the Sins & Saints. We need to know in talking with you....that you get that. We need to know from you that you appreciate that. We value our members...from the longest active member to the newest member.
G) Upon being accepted as a Recruit, there will be a "relatively" short probation period. We're not giving out Boy Scout badges just because you happened to be somewhere remotely near the campfire. We as Sins & Saints live and take pride in this group. Some of us have been here for years. Some of us have blood, sweat, time, and even money invested in this group. We want you to take pride in it also. We're not saying that you should go out and get personalized SINNER license plates made for your car...but still, this is something to be very proud of.
H) Following the recruit period, All access will be provided. You will be assigned to one of the many sub-divisions within the Sins & Saints. Let us know where you are and what you want to participate in with us. Ace Combat, Call of Duty, Ghost Recon, HAWX, Gears of War.
